Schweizer 300

Schweizer 300

Originally built by the Hughes Company this low-cost lightweight two-seat helicopter went into production in September 1955, and had a fully-glazed cockpit with side-by-side seating for two, an open-framework fuselage and a three-blade articulated rotor.

Operated in various configurations including an agricultural version, the Schweizer 300 is ideally suited as a training aircraft, and they were also sold to air forces and operators around the world.

In 1983 the US production rights were sold to the Schweizer Aircraft Company based in New York.
