Bell 206 Jet Ranger

Bell 206 JetRanger

The Bell 206 JetRanger was originally designed in the 1960s as a US Army light observation and utility helicopter but was later developed to meet the needs of the commercial light turbine helicopter market as a response to the emerging growth of the corporate user market.

The first JetRanger made its initial flight on January 10 1966 and deliveries followed 12 months later. The Bell 206 series has now developed through 10 different types within the JetRanger III and LongRanger IV models. Over 6000 206 series helicopters have now been built.
